Blackhouse – Smackhouse ep [Deskjob Recordings 012]

Blackhouse AKA DJ Tat releases four cuts of prime techno and breaks on the South Yorkshire Deskjob Recordings.
The ep kicks of with the deep bleepy, watery sounds of 3AM, A submerged dip into downtown Detroit before
heading uptown to be menaced by the filtered bastard sounds of Unreasonable Behaviour. Heavy basslines,
skuzzed up Jay Saul Kane breaks and all round dread make it one for the headstrong. Mood Swings brews up more
darkness, mass reverb and general warehouse vibes for the post Nu Rave generation. Finally, title track
Smackhouse finishes the quartet with more filters, basslines, pianos all dropped into the hot pot that is
house music.
